Dr. Martin is a marriage and Family Therapist with a specialty in children's behavioral problems. He has been married for 15 years and both of his children attend SSUSD Schools.

He has a passion for the physical and emotional well being of children. As Dr. Laurs Schlesinger says, "he is his children's father." What this means is that he puts his children's well being at the top of his priority list. This is followed closely by the well being of all children. He sees himself as a child advocate and conducts school board business accordingly.
