PARENTS ARE AN ASSETBy Gary MooreCandidate for Board Member; Rosedale Union School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Parents are a tremendous asset to the board and need to be considered.I am a parent of one student who attends Rosedale Middle School in the Rosedale Union School District and one student who has passed through the district. My wife and I have been involved in the classroom throughout our children's school careers. I have worked in many of our local schools as a DARE Officer and I believe Rosedale Schools are among the best. I am a Lieutenant with our local police department. Prior to my first term on the school board, I was a vocal parent at school board meetings, especially with regard to classroom size and maintaining K-6 at elementary schools and 7-8 at Jr. High Schools. I am presently a conservative voice on the school board. I believe in family values, parental envolvement in the schools and team work between the family and school system. I believe we, as informed parents, know what is best for our kids. I don't believe that national and state polititians, or teacher unions, know better or care more than parents. Educating our kids is what we as a school district need to focus on. Being the best student possible is what our kids need to focus on. We've got the best kids, so let's encourage them to do their best! |
