Placentia is no longer the small town it once was. Our city and our Library must keep up with these changes.I have lived in Placenta for over 18 years and have seen many changes in the community. One of the things I have learned is that the services for the community must keep up with the people living in the community. When I first visited the Library some 15 years ago, I went to the Library to look for some books and they didn't have them. I ended up going to another Library. Fortunately, over the years the Library has improved and its in much better condition now. My goal is to make sure that when a person moves into Placentia today, and then goes to the Library, they will find the books THEY are looking for. We need to make sure the Library keeps up with the needs of the community and has the books the community wants to read. Organizations such as the Placentia Library Foundation are doing an outstanding job in keeping money and books coming into the Library. We need every funding source we can find to make Placentia Library the pride of the Placentia. With your vote on November 2 2004, we can make it happen. |
