Candidate for
Board Member; Ocean View School District

As your Trustee I will work in partnership with parents, teachers, admistrators to provide the schools the necessary tools to equip students with skills for success. I support the district in maintaining class size reductions and will work to promote policies that remove obstacles for student achievemnet. Goals

• Implement systems that provide accountability in the classrom and administration.
• Maintain a balanced budget which focus on the classroom.
• Re-establish OVSD Foundation to support all schools
• Maintain class size reduction K-3 and low class averages in grades 4-8.
• Continue the OVSD policy of using funds available to cover expenses and not raise taxes.
• The disticts forty year old buildings need to be modernized and be brought up to todays safety standards. Sell the districts surplus property at the Bolsa Chica to pay for projects.Do not ask taxpyaers to approve a bond issue!
• Respect, recruit and retain the best educators.
