Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Hemet Unified School District; Trustee Area 3

Tom DeSantis was elected to the HUSD Governing Board in November 2000. He and his wife, Carely, have lived in Hemet since 1991 and have three children who attend elementary, middle and high schools in the Hemet Unified School District.

He earned a B.A. from The American University in Washington, D.C. He then entered active duty as a U.S. Air Force officer, completing his service at the rank of Captain.

DeSantis' military experience included assignments in support of the nation's space launch programs at Cape Canaveral and development of ballistic missile systems. His overseas duty included service as Commander of the U.S. Air Force's Headquarters Squadron based in Ankara, Turkey.

Over the past 14 years, he has worked in local government, serving as a Public Information Officer and Deputy County Executive Officer for the County of Riverside and Assistant County Administrative Officer with the County of San Bernardino.
