Dear Lakeside Residents, My name is Bill Colgan. I was born in New York City in 1947. I enlisted in the United States navy in 1966. In 1968 I volunteered for Swift Boats in Vietnam and served until April of 1970 when I was discharged. My awards include the "Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Medal,Vietnam Service Medal,Vietnam Campaign Medal,Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallentry, and Vietnam Civil Actions Medal. In 1976 I joined the United State Border Patrol and was stationed in El Cajon. Throughout my career I have worked in most of the stations in the San Diego area. I was retired from the Boulevard Station August 31, 2004. At that time I held the position of Station Intelligence Officer. I moved to the Lakeside area in 1996 because of the beautiful rural lifestyle the residents enjoy here. I do not want to see that lifestyle destroyed by uncontroled Los Angeles type growth. My entire career has been based on working with people. For this is the reason I believe I can do an outstanding job for you and your family. I will represent you, not out of town developers. Vote for me and my fellow candidates and "you" will have a voice in county government. Thank You Bill Colgan |
