Faster, Better, Cheaper Communications

My first goal was to give everyone on the Planning Group and in the community access to up-to-date information on all Alpine Planning Group activities. Trained volunteers now post information on the website on a weekly basis and alert registered users by e-mail about the changes made. From the feedback we received during our recent survey, we have more than met this goal.

My next goal is to use the website to streamline communications with the County. With Supervisor Jacob's encouragement, I have started to work with the Information Technology staff of the County Department of Planning and Land Use to pilot an electronic communications program with Alpine that, when successful, might serve as a model for the whole County. Not only can it make our communications faster and much cheaper, it can also reduce their paperwork and save our tax dollars.
