Candidate for
Board Member; Fallbrook Healthcare District; Unexpired Short Term

My family (one Marine, one teenager, one dog, one cat, and a gross of pocket gophers) and I have lived in the District for over 14 years. We love Fallbrook's ebb and flow from bucolic to eccentric, and I love being able to serve those who live here.

I was appointed to a vacant board seat in July 2003, and am now running for the remaining two years of the term. The District Board's five members have varying healthcare experiences, but we share a passion for improving the accessibility and quality of local health-care services, while we serve as landlord to the company that operates our hospital.

Because your tax dollars fund the District, our greatest responsibility is to gracefully balance the need to support nonprofit programs that improve our community's health, with the need to build reserves to assure the long-term continuation of local acute-care services.
