Community involvement is necessary to achieve a balance between developers and community interests.
The 2020 plan is forecasting major growth for North San Diego County and supports high density "Transportation Node"
developments at or near major arterial highways. The concept itself is reasonble since it maximizes land use and promises more open space, but we do not need to give developers an open checkbook for undisciplined growth. Community input is essential to maintain the character of Fallbrook, and supporting infrastructures must be either in place or implemented as part of the "Transportation Node" development program. Traffic problems have reached critical mass and need immediate resolution. SR76 is a prime example and a transportation node development at SR76 and I-15 will have a significant impact on our daily travel.
