All of the stakeholders, especially students, must feel safe in attending school.School safety encompasses a full range of elements. The success of our school resource officers must be continued and supported. Their presence and impact on our campuses is immeasureable. I worked with our police department in Manteca to reduce traffic hazzards and gang problems. Staff must also feel safe in order to effectively go about their duties at the school sites. We must continue to deal with the disruptive elements at our schools to allow teachers to teach and students to learn. |
