Political Philosophy for Philip P. Hannifin
Candidate for |
There has always been a need to maintain balance in our political systems. Our founding fathers knew it when they drafted the consitution which incorporated checks and balances and we know it today when we see what happens when the balance is lost. Differing views and opinions are healthy for our communities to exist and maintain balance without allowing extremism to prevail. As an independent, Phil Hannifin is objective and reasonable when interpreting consensus standards and differing views. He understands that unchecked passion can cloud the judgement and that most things are best not rushed. It is difficult to stop things once put in motion. We cannot achieve our goals without longterm planning, reasonable risk assessment, and mitigating corrective actions when unforeseeable events occur. Phil has had the experience and the ability to recognize potential risk and take corrective aciton in a reasonable and unbiased manner throughout his career and can lend balance to the council. |
