Dear Citizens of Santa Rosa, As you may know, I have spent eighteen years making the Omelette Express one of the number one businesses in downtown Santa Rosa. The hard work, however, did not stop me from becoming more and more involved in our community. I have volunteered in many ways, including as president of the Railroad Square Association, as planning commissioner for the City of Santa Rosa, and currently as the Chair of the South and West Area Business Association. With my background, I know the importance of having a healthy business environment and will support actions to reduce non-essential government spending. I want to eliminate the unnecessary costs of running a business instead of introducing new proposals to burden businesses with even more costs. Among other accomplishments, when I became a Planning Commissioner I arranged the first study session concerning mixed use of the downtown area with the Planning Commission. This election is about the future of Santa Rosa and the heritage we want to preserve for future generations. Remarkable improvements have taken place in our community, but the high quality of life we enjoy needs our protection and enhancement. I believe that a healthy community and environment depends on a healthy economy. I would greatly appreciate your vote on November 2, 2004. |
