Political Philosophy for Timothy Lee Johnson
Candidate for |

|
I am Timothy Johnson, candidate for California State Senate, 35th District. With the recent recall of Gray Davis and the subsequent election of Arnold Schwarzenegger, it appears California is ready for a significant change in how politics is handled in Sacramento. Today, voters are ready to consider the benefits of third party candidates.
Our state did not get to its present situation of disorganization, overtaxation, and poor representation during a single term of any political office. Since these issues are so convoluted and complex, these problems will require more than a single term of office to correct. I firmly believe that positive, long-lasting change will be accomplished only by a party other than one of the two overtaxing monopolies who are on the verge of ruining California beyond repair.
There are viable alternatives to these two major parties. And let's face it, without a third party choice, voters are often left to pick between the lesser of two evils. Your vote WILL count when you vote your conscience, when you vote for a candidate and not a party line, when you vote for character and not a multi-million dollar ad campaign. I can assure you, every person who votes this way will be contributing to California's brighter future. These ideas are the over-riding motivation for my state senate candidacy as a Libertarian. |
