Candidate for
City Attorney; City of Redondo Beach

For eleven years I have been honored to serve as your City Prosecutor. My top priority has been to improve public safety in Redondo Beach. Successes include:

• Obtained the first Gang Injunction in the South Bay combating gang crime. This highly successful program received national recognition and led to an 80% decrease in violent crime.

• Created a Spousal Abuser Prosecution Program (SAPP) that does not tolerate or minimize violent behavior in the family or in intimate relationships. We are one of only four cities in California to have a SAPP unit.

• Combated auto theft and other property crimes by helping to create "Operation Bull Market" which was recognized as the most successful undercover buy-back sting operation in state history.

• As Assistant City Attorney I have gained valuable experience in municipal government, handled a wide variety of issues for the City Council and Manager and acted as City Attorney at Council meetings.
