Candidate for
United States Representative; District 2; Democratic Party

I am 42 years old. I was born and raised in Cincinnati. My father was a plumber and my mother left her job as a secretary to raise my younger brother and me. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1986 with a bachelor's of science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. I am a registered professional engineer.

For nearly 20 years I have worked as a transportation engineer in both the public and private sector. As a civil engineering I have worked for and with many municipal, state and federal government agencies. I worked in Cincinnati City Hall for 8 years. I have seen government up-close, from the inside and out.

Two years ago my wife had an excellent opportunity to go back to work and I choose to put my career on the back burner to take over at home caring for our young son. Being a stay-at-home dad has been the most rewarding job I have ever had.

I am currently living in Anderson Township with my wife Lucy, our son and two stepdaughters.
