Political Philosophy for Mark W. Distaso
Candidate for |
Issues facing our District are similar to those facing many other school districts and local governmental bodies. Having "grown up" organizationally in a post Proposition 13 era, I have been trained and educated in developing fiscal practices that can insure that our communities are receiving the services they deserve without wastefull and ineffective spending of tax dollars. I mandate from my employees that while at work they provide services to the community in the manner in which they expect to have services provided to them when they are at home in their own communities. I fully intend to bring this leadership philosophy to our school board. I also believe that any government body should should reflect the values, desires and priorities of the community it serves. Our school district needs to reflect the community's educational priorities and to develop an interactive partnership with the community to establish solid educational goals for our kids. |
