Candidate for
Board Member; Ross Valley School District

I have lived in the Bay Area for 37 years, residing in the Ross Valley with my wife and two daughters the past twelve. I formerly worked in non-profits as a resource specialist and administrator, and served as the Director of Economic Research for the Wine Institute. Currently, I am engaged in an environmental history writing project. I love the community spirit of San Anselmo and Fairfax. As a community volunteer, I was co-chair and treasurer of the Ross Valley Schools Foundation (Yes) as well as chair of the San Anselmo Historical Commission. My academic credentials include a BA in History from Grinnell College and an MA in Environmental Planning from the Consortium of the California State University and Colleges. In addition, I have completed California School Board Association workshops covering public school governance, finance, curriculum, and human resources. It has been an honor for me to serve on the Ross Valley School Board. I look forward to continuing to advocate for ideas and resources to improve the educational experience for all the students at Brookside, Manor, Wade Thomas, and White Hill schools.
