Candidate for
Governing Board Member; SAN BERNARDINO Community College District

J. Pat Ferraris was born and raised in San Bernardino. Mr. Ferraris graduated from Pacific High School in San Bernardino before attending the University of Southern California. After returning to San Bernardino to care for his ailing mother, Pat graduated from California State University San Bernardino with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a concentration in law. Pat Ferraris went on to law school and graduated as the Student of Distinction from the University of La Verne, College of Law.

In addition to his working with the local business community through his employment with Imagine Systems, Inc., a local information technology company in San Bernardino, Pat has extensive experience in the educational field. While putting himself through college, Pat substituted as a teacher for both the San Bernardino City Unified and San Bernardino County Unified School Districts. Pat started teaching at the community college level shortly after law school, and taught as an adjunct professor at Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga for almost ten years, being nominated as an outstanding professor by his students. Pat currently teaches at the University of Redlands, School of Business as an adjunct professor, and was again nominated as an outstanding professor by his students in 2003.

Throughout his early and adult life, Pat has been active in his community through various non-profit and civic organizations. Pat has been a leader and member of:

1. Inland Empire Executive Association + Past President and Member of the Board of Directors
2. San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors
3. Redlands Chamber of Commerce
4. San Bernardino County Trails and Greenways Commission
5. St. John Bosco Community Festival + Planning Committee Member & Volunteer
6. Aquinas High School - Booster Club President
7. Aquinas High School - School Board Member
8. Aquinas High School - Capital Improvements Committee Chair

In 2003, Pat was nominated as a Leader of Distinction by the Press Enterprise. Pat has also been recognized by several organizations for which he has worked as a leader by example, and has worked throughout his career with many groups from various diverse backgrounds.

Pat is married to the love of his life, Alicia, and they have three wonderful children, Candice, Danielle, and Morgan. The Ferraris family currently lives in San Bernardino, California.
