·NEED CANDIDATE WITH FIRE SERVICE EXPERIENCE
·CANDIDATE FAMILIER WITH FIRE SERVICE BUDGETS, SHORT
AND LONG RANGE GOALS AND PLANNING
·NEEDS TO LIVE NEARBY AND HAVE COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT
·LONG TERM COMMITMENT TO MENLO FIRE DISTRICT
·NEED TO LOOK WITH-IN THE ORGANIZATION, AS WELL AS
OUTSIDE
THE FIRE DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS SETS POLICIES IN THE PUBLIC INTREST, THEN ALLOWS THE FIRE CHIEF TO MAKE THOSE POLICIES COME ABOUT.
THEY SHOULD NOT BE INVOLVED IN DAILY OPERATION, THAT IS THE JOB OF THE FIRE CHIEF AND HIS STAFF'S.
