Do you and your family currently know what to do in the event of a disaster on the magnitude of New Orleans?

Then we need a better, more well-defined plan. Together with our Cities and Police Departments the Menlo Park Fire District needs to make a more formalized approach about where people should go for treatment, food and shelter and which entity will handle what. The plan needs to meet our high expectations.

We need diversity on our Board, in terms of perspective and experience.

Not all Directors should be firemen or former firemen. We need people like me from "outside the beltway". Our Fire Board needs some objectivity on behalf of taxpayers. We need to maintain our Fire Department's current level of excellence within fiscally sound parameters.
