Historic Downtown RevitalizationBy Dan DalyCandidate for Council Member; City of Loveland | |

We've seen some great results from taking aging City assets and turning them into vibrant, community assets. Converting the old public works building (behind City Hall) into a great, hometown restaurant (The Works) was a success in many ways. We'll see similar results (minus the pizza) as The Bronner House transforms from a dilapidated old house into an office and The Little Miami River Lab. This was a truly exciting project that involved The City, a community-minded developer, and Little Miami Inc. all working to provide a valuable community asset. City Staff continues to work with other property owners in Historic Loveland with a unified goal of bringing all properties to their best use as a family-friendly town center. Combined marketing efforts and the possiblity of using Tax Increment Financing are generating a lot of interest in this effort. |
