The questions were prepared by the LWV Cincinnati Area and asked of all candidates for this office.
Read the answers from all candidates (who have responded).
1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)
I am a lifelong resident of St. Bernard who has been politically involved for the past 32 years. I am a very hard worker who loves my city. I have worked hand in hand with the public for the past 20 years in customer service.
2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)
Hiring a city manager to run the daily operations of our city will hopefully ensure that new ideas are not put on the back burner. It will allow a professional to work full time in providing senior housing and attracting new business and residents to vacant properties. I realize that council positions are part time and I am not afraid to work with a professional and experienced city manager to ensure that resident's ideas and concerns are addressed.
3. What steps would you take to ensure that all public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities? (100 words limit)
By being the daughter of a father that spent most of his last years in a wheel chair I know the importance of having our city be handicapped accessible. I will work with the City Manager to ensure all city facilities are accessible to everyone.
4. What specific steps will you take to expand recycling services in your community? (100 words limit)
I will educate the public on the values of recycling, not only for the city, but for every resident. I will encourage residents to recycle by recycling myself.
5. What steps would you take to provide affordable housing for all residents of your community? (100 words limit)
I would work on learning about various interest loans and home improvement programs.
