Development of NuMaid property

As a member of the Community Improvement Corporation (CIC), I have help make decisions that will impact the development of the NuMaid property. The process has been long and arduous, but necessary. The CIC has helped establish new zoning procedures and guidelines that will aid the city not only in this development, but in other parts of the city as well.

Now that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the developer, it is imperative that the CIC continue to monitor the progress of the project to insure that the developer meets its obligations to the city. The development of the NuMaid property will increase revenues to the city, not only through the service payments to the city, but also through an increase in the earned income tax as new employees are brought into the city. If the financial projections are met, the City of St.Bernard will not only recover it's costs in purchasing the property, it will also see a marked increase in other city revenues.
