Questions & Answers

1. Do you think the proposed LNG facility should be built in Long Beach Harbor? If elected, what actions would you take to support your position?

The Long Beach City Council will not be responsible for LNG being built in Long Beach, we will may be responsible for the EIR and the safety of the LNG facility. I will do everything to make sure that if it is going into the harbor that it is the safest facility in the world.

2. Should Long Beach airport be expanded? If so, to what degree, and what improvements and enhancements would be essential? Under what circumstances, if any, should the number of available flight slots be increased?

No the airport should never be expanded beyond the noise bucket limits. I am in favor of enhancement, making the best for our tenants and passengers as long as the flights never exceed our court order.

3. What should Long Beach be doing to improve air quality?

Regulate and reduce the pollution from all three sources in the port, ships, yard hullers, and trucks. Restrict port growth so the pollution remains below a "Pollution/TEU bucket".
