Political Philosophy for Ray "PtaRay" Bilodeau
Candidate for |
I believe we need to alter the way that many look at education as a whole, parents, children, administrators and teachers. In a nutshell as they say; Safe Schools, healthy Learning Environment, Cultural Identity, Family Values, Personal Philosophy, and Character Education, these should be the NORM, not wished for slogans. Education has been used as a political wedge, where money, yard signs and endorsements can decide the victor rather than the actual actions, thoughts and mind of the candidates. I mention this because I believe that ideas, creative ability, and the vision to see ahead are the mark of a good candidate. Integrity, listening, fair mindedness, and the ability to speak from the heart and to give back to the community these are the qualities that count. I believe that school is not for fashion sense, nor for social networking. It is for learning how to look within ones own character, and for seeing all the potential that came before them. To appreciate how their current world became so great, and how so many before them sacrificed, fought and suffered to allow them so many freedoms and the luxury to have so many options available at their fingertips. Education is not entitlement, it is earned respect and the mutual expression of ideas built on the foundation of those before them. Public or Private education systems and the resulting citizen created by either is only as good as those who contribute to it, those who teach it, those who teach the discipline needed to retain it, and the minds whose creativity is tapped in order to expand on the knowledge already laid out for them. Help me keep the vision on track in Fremont, Support me with your vote. Thank You, Ray Bilodeau |
