Candidate for
Board Member; Orinda Union School District

I am currently serving on the Governing Board of the Orinda Union School District. My tenure on the school board has been one of the highlights of my experience as a resident of Orinda for the past 24 years.

After receiving my MBA, my husband and I started our own business that we still operate from several locations in California and Nevada. While our children were young we made a conscious decision to move to Orinda when we had determined that it would be the best place to raise our family. Education is a cornerstone of any society and Orinda's commitment to excellence attracted us to its community. My four children have all graduated from OUSD, three have graduated from Miramonte, and one will be an incoming freshman there this year.

My mother was a teacher and education was an important focus in my parent's home, as it is in my home today. I have always been proud of the emphasis Orinda has placed on education, volunteering and supporting the schools on a continual basis.
