City Council Member; City of Pomona; District 5

From crime to education and from transportation to our economy, our community faces major challenges that demand attention and require action. I have a vision for our district's future and a plan for getting us there. The current changes in our district do not make up for eight years of limited progress and inaction. The ideas that were good once are not necessarily good today. I will engage businesses, elected officials, environmentalists, education leaders, and working families to create a safer and healthier community.

My years of experience in government showed me how wasteful government can be. I will utilize my work and educational experience to promote fiscally sound policies that truly value our families and does not hinder public employees from providing needed services.

My tenure as Vice Chair of the Planning Commission showed me the importance of businesses and jobs. As your councilmember I will promote both.

I will fully support Police and Fire and a Zero tolerance policy for sex offenders, gangs and graffiti taggers to reduce crime. I will support our youth by working to create more recreational facilities and generously support Scouts, Little League, AYSO, JROTC and after school programs.

I will work to establish a Commission on Aging and provide more health and senior programs.
