PUTTING PATIENTS FIRST + RESTORING PUBLIC TRUST Marin is facing its most important local healthcare election in many years. Marin General Hospital is poised for an exciting transition back to public stewardship that requires strong new leadership in this time of change. Jennifer Rienks, Jonathan Frieman and I are committed to returning Marin General to its former status as a premier community hospital, and we will also work hard to make Marin General a Green Hospital! Marin deserves a vibrant, integrated healthcare system that reflects our residents' commitment to healthy living and sustainability. The new Board needs consensus builders and problem solvers who are dedicated to ensuring we get the best possible care and protecting our community's assets. With the right leadership, we believe Marin General Hospital and our Healthcare District can become models for the nation. We pledge to stand up for our community's progressive values and move the District forward in a positive, collaborative direction! Our Top Priorities:
The Healthcare District needs a Board that will serve the public interest and not place Marin General in the hands of another corporation. We need proven leaders with the policy experience to lead the new Board into a more collaborative and productive future~ allowing our Doctors to focus on what they do best ~ treating patients. We are meeting with local doctors, nurses and health care professionals + and visiting successful community-run hospitals in the region + to create a successful new model for our District that ensures both doctor satisfaction and the best possible patient care. "We are committed to serving our entire community, including Kaiser Health Plan members, who must rely on Marin General for critical emergency care." |
