This information is provided by the candidate |
Dear Neighbor: I have been honored to serve as your School Board member over the past four years. This November 7th, I would like to ask for your vote, so that I may continue to serve to our community. I am pleased to announce our work to put Natomas children first has earned the endorsements of the Natomas Teachers Association, the Natomas School Employees Association, Sacramento Supervisor Roger Dickinson, retired Assemblymember Anthony Pescetti, Sacramento County Board of Education members Gretchen Bender and John Scribner. I am also pleased that I have the support of so many parents and community leaders. I have worked tirelessly to ensure our children are afforded outstanding education and a safe learning environment. Together we have increased fiscal accountability, kept class sizes small and increased access to before and after school programs. As a product of our public schools and having had experience as a teaching assistant, I understand that parental involvement and dedicated, quality teachers are essential to the success of our children. Together, we can continue to improve our children's education. With your help we can raise the bar by recruiting and retaining the best teachers, providing a challenging program of instruction, creating a collaborative culture among the community and school district, pushing for more pre-school education and demanding a safe place for our children to learn. I would be honored to have your vote so together we can continue to provide quality education for all of our children. All my best, Lisa Kaplan Trustee, Natomas School Board (916) 419-7843 |
