Website LaunchedOctober 8, 2006 Leadership for DMUSD launches website Candidates Annette Easton, Steven McDowell, and Katherine White announced today a website for information about their campaign for stronger leadership on the Del Mar Union School District Board. The school board election will be on the ballot Tuesday, November 7. The website address is http://www.LeadershipForDMUSD.com. The majority slate of Easton, McDowell and White proposes a vision for Del Mar Schools that focuses on stronger leadership, more accountability to the community, and more transparency by the school board. Easton, McDowell and White argue that current school board majority has not prevented the district administration from being distracted by issues that do not relate to quality education in our district, and there is too much conflict in the district as a result of poor policy decisions by the board. According to the candidates, strong leadership by the school board is needed to redirect the district's attention and resources to the classroom and quality educational programs in order to maintain the district's reputation for excellence in the future. |
