Candidate Statement

My goal is to maximize the meaningful education of our children while protecting our precious tax dollars.

Our children deserve: greater accountability from the school district, results based decision making, and increased input from parents and the community.

Graduated from the University of San Diego, lives in Encinitas with her family, and wants her child and yours to attend the best schools our community has to offer.

I'm a taxpayer who supports our schools, but hates to see our money wasted. I will use performance audits to ensure schools are accountable for how they spend our money; tax dollars should be spent in the classroom-not on unnecessary administrative expenses. These audits will ensure that every child has a certified teacher, modern textbooks and a clean, safe school.

Higher Academic achievement: incorporate a challenging, yet back to basics curriculum that utilizes the progressive learning school system, infuses technology and prepares our children for the future.

Teachers and parents must work together in order to provide the best education possible to our students.

Our kids deserve Mo's leadership: better education doesn't equal higher taxes!
