Candidate for
Board Member; Deer Springs Fire Protection District

I will do my best to serve you by ensuring that the Board effectively protects the health and safety of present and future residents in our Wildland-Urban-Interface District. As our population increases, the Board is facing increasingly difficult technical issues when evaluating developers' Fire Protection Plans. The Board must now consider engineering, medical, and human behavior issues to prevent wildfire injury to present and future residents. I will vigorously pursue grants and other legitimate sources of funding for our District's emergency services needs without depending on financial pacts with developers. I need your vote to be able to apply my compassion, background, and medical and engineering experience to these issues.

My wife and I have lived in North County San Diego for 29 years, and have raised our children here. We hope to live here for many years to come.

My motivation is your health and safety, and I will serve all the people in the District.
