Political Philosophy for Steven A. "Steve" (Tauvela) Yagyagan
Candidate for |
Steve believes that in order to turn around the challenges we currently face in the CVESD (Chula Vista Elementary School District), we need to start at the top the administration) to find leaders who can work closely with the community (parents and children, civic leaders) and the educators (teachers and principals) to lay a solid academic foundation through applying Bloom's Taxonomy's "Rigor and Relevance" throughout our classrooms and an open dialogue between all stakeholders so that our children will be well-prepared for middle school, high school, college and leadership. With strong, supportive, inclusive leadership at the top, Steve believes cancerous polarization between the administration, the principals, the union (teachers) and the parents that has been festering over the last few years can be cured. |
