Candidate for
Board Member; Wright School District

I am a 32-year resident of Sonoma County. It was here that I met and, 28 years ago, married my wife, Michaela. We have two daughter, Josie, 20, and Sylvie, 18, who are both graduates of J.X. Wilson School, Cook Middle School, and Santa Rosa and Elsie Allen High respectively.

I feel so grateful that my employment choices always allowed me the luxury -- since their first days of school -- of being available to volunteer in their classrooms, chaperone field trips, and be active in their school Site Councils and Steering Committees.

I was raised (and attended public schools) in Tacoma, Washington, attended college in southern California (Pomona), and my adult careers have included several years in youth counseling work, 10 years as a professional musician and writer, many more years in management positions in both high and low-tech companies, and for the past 7 years, I've been extremely satisfied to be able to combine all of my previous experiences within a company that provides training and coaching to small business owners in achieving their highest goals.

I have been on the Wright District Board for 8 years -- two terms -- and am currently the Board President.

It is an honor to have this trust, and I would very much like the opportunity to maintain the momentum we have and continue in the direction we've set to expand the opportunities for all of our students to reach their own highest goals.
