Leading McKinley, reviving San Rafael, creating a plan to make PUSD great again

As the Chair of the Partners In Education (PIE) Advisory Board, I have helped generate continued increases in community participation throughout PUSD schools.

As the Co- founder of Leadership Pasadena's Community Partners for Public Education, my team and I helped revitalize PUSD's San Rafael Elementary School and create the fastest growing parent group in PUSD.

From my twenty five years in the communications field, I have developed the ability to clarify problems and uncover the resources necessary to solve them in a collaborative and positive manner.

From my experience with McKinley, San Rafael, and with other projects at Washington campus, Altadena Elementary, Field Elementary, and other PUSD schools, I believe I can take the lead in changing how our communities talk about public education, and, more important, in how they become true owners of our public education system.

At the same time, I can take the lead in helping create a PUSD Administrative system that is open and respectful of our students, teachers, staff, parents and of the whole community. I can take the lead in helping create a long term plan for PUSD that will be worthy of the community's trust and support.

What I offer is a vision, and the leadership, action and results that can truly change the conversation about our public education system and create a great PUSD at every school, in every classroom, with every student!
