Why am I running for City Council? My goal is to bring back reasonableness to Cerritos. Currently, property owners are basically hog-tied by rules and regulations that make much needed improvements or minor changes to their property an impossible task. Overnight parking in front of your own house must be reviewed for reasonableness. Street sweeping schedules and parking regulations must be reviewed for reasonableness. We have dangerous intersections throughout this city, especially in front of our schools. Intersection cameras don't work, visual presence of law enforcement does. Cerritos' vision of future business deals should take its cue from the Auto Square, a project that became a destination for people throughout the region.
It is time for the City of Cerritos to move at the speed and direction the people want, not the City of Cerritos moving the people at the speed and direction it wants. All I ask is for the opportunity to serve the people of Cerritos.
