Experience and Commitment MattersBy Steve TedescoCandidate for Council Member, 6; City of San Jose; Council District 6 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
We need to elect someone who has the experience to be effective and the commitme to follow-throughSan Jose and District 6 face many challenges. It is important that the next Councilmember has the experience and commitment to the district and the city to address these chalenges. By the time I was in my mid-thirties I had been a Campbell Union High SChool Distriuct Trustee for ten years and was president of the Chamber of Commerce. That alowed me to build a career of civic, public policy and philanthropic activity that I have pursued for my entire career. The next councilmember may be in the seat for as long as ten years. I have no political ambitions beyond this council seat. I am not running for this to build my resume to run for the board of supervisors, assembly, or any other office. My commitment is to use my experience and knowledge to be of benefit to the residents of District 6 and the City of San Jose, and not for any personal ambition. |
