Political Philosophy for Steve Tedesco
Candidate for |
The office of Councilmember is non-partisan. That means that partisan political philosophy or party interests should have no place in city affairs. That having been said, I am best classified as a moderate person - one who is more fiscally conservative yet on many social issues such as health care, youth, equal rights, educational and other issues I am more liberal than moderate. I believe that the role of government is to provide an environment in which business can successfully grow and prosper to create jobs so that we have the necessary funding for the needs of our youth to be properly met through excellent educational and recreational opportunities, where the quality of life in our communities is enhanced, and where government does only what the private sector and individuals cannot do for themselves, and where government spends only on the highest priorities and exercises fiscal discipline. |
