Gloria will continue her work to:

  • Strive for ongoing district accountability
  • Complete modernization projects for all aging schools
  • Build Castaic High School
  • Increase technical/vocational and career opportunities for students through partnerships with COC and local businesses
  • Make the district more responsive to parents and community
  • Enhance performing and visual arts programs

Under Gloria's proven leadership:
  • Schools are among the highest-achieving in the state
  • Opened five new schools
  • Automotive Technology Partnership developed with College of the Canyons and the Valencia Auto Dealers
  • Secured grant to fund school deputies to address safety issues on campuses

Gloria believes strongly in giving back to her community. Her involvement includes:
  • Member of Board of Directors, Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley
  • President-Elect, Zonta Club of Santa Clarita
  • Member of Executive Board, Santa Clarita Sheriff's Anti-Gang Task Force
  • Member of Board, SCV Youth Project
  • Member of Steering Committee, Measure V, Hart District Bond Measure
  • Former Member of Board of Directors and Lifetime Member, Girl Scouts of America
