Our schools, our City, local businesses, and our community are interconnected in many aspects; the actions of one does affect the others. I will seek ways to continue and expand the communication between our schools and the community.Our students, parents, teachers, and the community are the stakeholders for our school district and what the stakeholders have to say should be a part of every school board decision. An open dialog among our schools and our community can benefit our students with additional understanding, support, and information. Sponsoring community forums, conducting focus groups, sending out surveys, and being available are just some ways I would advocate to expand communications. |
