Candidate for
Board Member; Hartnell Community College District; Trustee Area 2

I currently sit on the Hartnell Oversight Committee and have witnessed the problems that plague the board. The board must operate as a team. The Board also needs to work with the President, Faculty and Students. ALL discussions must be open, honest and transparent. Wasteful spending must be eliminated.

We must develop the East Campus. Increasing access to the community is vitally important. This will lead to increased enrollment, balanced budgets and a more educated and vibrant community.

Partnering with the business community, we can develop and expand vocational training. The Agriculture Business Technology Institute is a great start. We must expand other vocational programs such as construction technology and nursing.
