Josh's love for politics began as an intern for then-Congressman Leon Panetta.

He continued his political service at the White House, where he worked for four years in the late 90's. He served as an advance press representative, assisted with briefings, and coordinated and managed events for the President and Vice President nationwide, as well as internationally.

In 1999 Josh moved to the International Launch Services division of Lockheed Martin. There he provided public relations services and managed activities and budgets for rocket launches at Cape Canaveral, Florida and Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Josh moved back home to Monterey County in 2002. He founded his own business, Superior Stone Care, which handles stone restoration projects for customers throughout California. Additionally, acting on a lifelong interest in education, he began teaching part time in kindergarten, elementary and middle schools.

Josh has served on the Monterey County Community Action Commission, and is a member of the Le Tip Business Marketing Group. He also serves as a foreign exchange student host for Japanese students and teachers. In his spare time, he is a volunteer at local high schools and colleges, speaking with students about his involvement in national politics and the importance of being active in one's community.

Josh was born and raised in Monterey County. He attended Carmel High School, where he was active in school sports, student government and civic organizations. He went on to San Diego State University, where he majored in Political Science with a minor in History. Josh speaks English and Finnish.
