Came to Santa Barbara at age 17, been my home ever since. US ARMY Artillery veteran,Vietnam Era 1966-69. UCSB graduate, English major, 1972. Professional real Estate appraiser, former carpenter. Father of 3, step father of 2, all either current or former students of public schools. Former member/chair of City Planning Commission and City Rental Housing Mediation Task Force. First President of Peabody Charter School Governing Council. Two year PTA President of Santa Barbara Jr High School. Have sat or continue to sit on boards: Margorie Luke Theatre, Elings Park, Public Education Foundation, Peabody Charter School Foundation.

Hobbies are wood-working, cooking, toy repair, and walking (walked to San Luis Obispo and plan to walk the entire length of the State.
