QUALITIES TO LEAD, KNOWLEDGE OF CURRENT SCHOOL ISSUES, STRONG BUSINESS BACKGROUND AND ABILITY TO WORK WITH OTHERS.I am writing this letter to announce my candidacy for the Millbrae School Board. I've lived in Millbrae for 12 years because of our excellent schools. I have two children attending the Millbrae School District and have been a member of the PTA for the past seven years. I've worked very hard with the PTA as a President, VP and various chair positions. I've worked with Principals, Teachers, Parents and Students to enrich our schools. I served on the DAC for nine months reviewing district financial information and made recommendations to the Millbrae School District. I also served as Chair on the Taylor Middle School Site Council from 2006-2007 and Taylor Middle School GATE Committee Rep. in 2007. I am a member of the Millbrae Lions and served as a Board Member 2005-2007. I have chaired Red Ribbon Week and Flag Day for our children the past four years and helped raise money for our five schools. I have taught confirmation class for 17 years in San Mateo and have owned a successful business for 16 years. I have the qualities to lead, the knowledge of current school issues, a strong business background and the ability to work with others. I pledge to do my best. Please support me with your vote.
