Political Philosophy for Mike Ward
Candidate for |
||||
|
Sharon and I bought our land in this community in 1971, then built our home in 1987, enjoying every year -- the friends, the enviroment and the activities. After retiring from HP in 2000, I became active in the community to better know my neighbors and do what I could to help keep this a wonderful place. I've served as a Community Association President 2004-2005 and am currently Emergency Preparedness Committee event leader and backup commander. For the last two years, I've been active in the evolution of the Water Board, attending almost every meeting, drafting our mission statement (an excellent guiding document) for the LAFCo review; co-lead the first residential survey, and currently serve on the Efficient Use of Water Committee.
My belief is that the Water Board serves the community to:
the long haul; (2) educate and facilitate the efficient use of water, (3) provide stewardship for our lands and lake to keep them open, with an eye toward the long term (4) contribute to water related emergency preparedness Do all this with sound and open fiscal management with frequent input from the community to influence Water Board decisions. Please vote for me November 6th. |
