Rhona Klein A Supervisor for All Of Chadds FordBy Rhona KleinCandidate for Supervisor; Township of Chadds Ford | |

I believe that the current state of politics in Chadds Ford is detrimental to the development of our beautiful Township. Too many times talented citizens from the community have been turned down for boards and commissions due to their political affiliation. This is not only a waste of talent, but also a disservice to the entire community at large. Many residents simply stop trying to volunteer due to repeated attempts to serve and then ignored. As supervisor I would reach out to the disenfranchised residents and encourage them to volunteer again. Our Township is filled with residents with many abilities they can offer to the Township. In order for the community to continue to flourish we cannot ignore the talents and abilities of our residents due to partisanship. It is the responsibility of a supervisor to serve the entire community not a select portion. I have a Masters in Public Administration and professional service for the past 10 years to three other townships. Because of my Party affiliation, my services were spurned by Chadds Ford when I repeatedly tried to serve the community. I have been instrumental in bringing significant grant money to the local Townships where I have been an employee. My extensive experience with stormwater management, recycling, open space planning, grant writing, procurement of comprehensive plan facilitation and general public administration I believe allows me to not only handle the responsibilities of supervisor, but bring a new perspective to governing the community. During my campaign I will draw comparisons between out Township and other Townships of which I have experience. |
