|
For more than 30 years Jim Prola and his wife, Diana, have called San Leandro home. They raised three children in our community and take great pride in being active parents and citizens. In 2007, Jim was chosen over eleven other applicants to fill the District 6 Council seat that became vacant after the election of Councilmember Tony Santos as Mayor. Jim serves on the Council's Airport and Shoreline-Marina Committees and on the Oakland Airport-Community Noise Management Forum. Now retired, Jim worked as a water analyst for EBMUD and was an active member of his union, serving on the Executive Board of the Central Labor Council of Alameda County. Even before retirement, Jim was a dynamic community volunteer, coaching youth soccer, basketball and baseball and serving as a leader of numerous local senior and environmental groups. Always politically active, Jim has worked on campaigns at the local, state and national levels, from measures that help support our schools to candidates for President. Now, as the Councilmember from District 6, Jim Prola is working for you to make San Leandro a better place to live, play and work. |
