I believe that the role of a judge is to serve the public by administering justice and resolving disputes under the law, thereby protecting the rights and liberties guaranteed by the constitutions of California and the United States. I would do so by deciding cases on their merits, without regard to special interests or public opinion. I will run an efficient courtroom where the primary concern is the evenhanded administration of justice. I will uniformly and consistently apply the rule of law and insist on personal responsibility.

I will restore and maintain public confidence in the judicial system by allowing all parties to have their fair day in court. I will render service to all members of the community under the core values and guiding principles of: Fairness, Accessibility, Consistency, Efficiency, Effectiveness, Independence, Impartiality and Integrity.
