THE PEOPLE vs. PHILLIP OVILLE Phillip Oville entered a home on June 24, 2003 with the intent to rob its residents. The five-year old little girl who lived there watched as Oville shot and killed her mother and aunt. Charges: Double homicide with special circumstances Outcome: Prosecuted and Convicted by John Molloy (Source: Riverside Superior Court, Case RIF113562) THE PEOPLE vs. ARMANDO GARCIA Armando Garcia and three fellow gang members attempted to retaliate against their rivals. They approached a house at midnight and opened fire. However, it was the wrong house. One of the innocent victims was shot in the chest and rushed to the hospital. A portion of his lung was removed in order to save his life. Charges: Gang related attempted murder Outcome: Prosecuted and Convicted by John Molloy (Source: Riverside County Superior Court, Case RIF099598) THE PEOPLE vs. CHARLES NOPPE A shop teacher at Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore molested two of his male students. A search of his house revealed numerous examples of child pornography. Charges: Kidnapping, child molestation, possession of child pornography Outcome: Prosecuted and Convicted by John Molloy (Source: Riverside County Superior Court, Case RIF110318) THE PEOPLE vs. PATRICK RENTERIA Patrick Renteria's wife wanted to leave him because of his history of domestic violence. Renteria responded by picking up their 5-year old daughter at school. He took her home and waited for his wife. When she arrived he stabbed her and stomped her to death in front their daughter.
