The first reason is our present economic down turn. We are in a deep recession with the loss of jobs and many people losing their homes that has affected our economy due to the high cost of fuel along with goods and services. The challenge is there and I hope with my business experience I can help make the turn around for our county and the tax payers.
To begin, it is the responsibility of the elected Supervisor to start out and help support the other four elected officials by supporting current projects on the agenda. The other responsibilities are to create new vision for the county if I am elected. The most important agenda is to make sure the 1.4 billion dollar budget is divided equally within the five districts. Also to make sure that the district I am elected to receives proper representation. The most difficult job will be to keep new programs coming to generate economic development and tax dollars coming into the district I represent. Revenue coming in will help programs that are short of money.

With the California budget shortfall of 16 billion dollars, we have a big job ahead of us.

I hope to get your vote to help me help our county and the 5th district for a better quality of life for all.

With that in mind, we must not forget what other programs are also being challenged such as service employees, schools, fire, police, hospital employees, local government employees, correctional instutions, and a long list of people who depend on the county programs for assistance. The big need is to those who need the help from this service to have some quality life.

I'm hoping I can serve my county and it's taxpayers.
